Techno-commercial considerations are the backbone of any projects success.Plant engineering has many threads such as process requirements, technology requirements, energy optimization,total cost to company of the process over life cycle,project timeline, liquidated damages of delays, quality and productivity.Every aspect of this requires commercial understanding during engineering phase.   • 1.Development of detailed estimation.
  • 2.Detailing of cash flow requirement of the project.
  • 3.Detailing of plant financial feasibility study.
  • 4.Preparing the bidding documents and in bidding process.
  • Evaluation

    1. Technical Evaluation

    o Filtering the vendors/contractors as per prequalification criteria

    o Giving marks as per the technical & financially ability to eligibility

    o Raising the queries to vendors/contractors to comply with requirement if any

    o As per the merits (who scored greater than minimum marks) they will be moved to second stage i.e., commercial evaluation

    2. Commercial Evaluation

    o There can be a two way of commercial evaluation first one can be purely on L1 basis and the second can be on aggregate score of agencies as per their score achieved on their technical & commercial strength.
